ExoMira Medicine is pleased to share that Dr. Huiping Liu, MD, PhD, scientific co-founder of ExoMira and professor at Northwestern University, presented new research at the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) Liquid Biopsies meeting held in Lyon, France. Her presentation, titled “Plasticity of Circulating Tumor Cell Clusters in Response to Therapy,” highlighted emerging insights into how circulating tumor cell (CTC) clusters dynamically adapt under therapeutic pressure—underscoring the biological complexity of metastatic progression and therapeutic resistance.

The findings presented contribute to the growing understanding of tumor cell plasticity in liquid biopsies and align with ExoMira’s commitment to developing therapies that target the fundamental drivers of cancer metastasis and immune evasion. Dr. Liu’s ongoing research continues to inform the mechanistic foundation behind MIRA-1, ExoMira’s first-in-class USP22 inhibitor.
