ExoMira Builds Industry Momentum

(Chicago, Illinois) From 2026 AACR to ASCO and BIO, ExoMira has had the opportunity to engage with a broad range of pharmaceutical executives, scientific leaders, clinical key opinion leaders, academic collaborators, investors, and potential strategic partners. These conversations have been highly encouraging and have helped further refine how ExoMira communicates the differentiated value of its lead program, MIRA-1, in today’s increasingly competitive oncology market.

ExoMira is especially grateful for the thoughtful discussions and engagement with leaders and representatives from Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Genetech, Eli Lilly, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, Peking University, GoBroad Healthcare Group, and other organizations that have taken the time to understand ExoMira’s science, platform strategy, and development vision.

1) A central theme across these discussions has been the importance of clear market positioning for a truly novel therapeutic approach. In a crowded oncology landscape, scientific novelty alone is not enough; a successful product must be positioned around a clear unmet need, a differentiated mechanism, and a compelling path toward clinical and commercial relevance. Through these conversations, ExoMira has further sharpened the positioning of MIRA-1 as a potential world-first immune-converting Treg-immunology therapy with direct cancer-killing activity, including activity against cancer stem-like cell populations.

This positioning reflects the unique biology of MIRA-1 as a first-in-class USP22 inhibitor with a pancancer target profile. By combining immune modulation with direct tumor-intrinsic effects, ExoMira believes MIRA-1 has the potential to define a new therapeutic category within oncology and immuno-oncology.

2) A second major focus of recent discussions has been how to efficiently advance a highly novel, first-in-class asset through translational development and toward the clinic. Early-stage drug development is inherently high risk, particularly for programs with new mechanisms of action. However, ExoMira has been encouraged by the level of interest from potential collaborators, investors, and future commercial partners who recognize the importance of pairing strong science with the right development strategy, funding structure, and clinical execution plan.

ExoMira is grateful to the industry mentors, scientific collaborators, clinical advisors, and potential partners who have offered constructive feedback and commercial perspectives. Their engagement has helped ExoMira further align its scientific priorities, translational planning, and future clinical development strategy. These conversations are particularly meaningful as ExoMira continues building toward its next stage of growth and prepares for future development milestones.

3) ExoMira also congratulates President Dr. Huiping Liu for co-chairing the AACR 2026 minisymposium, “Cracking Adaptive Resistance: AI-Enabled, Screen-Guided Targets in Tumor Plasticity, DNA Damage, Metabolism, and CTC-Associated Immunity,” alongside Dr. John Tainer of MD Anderson Cancer Center. This leadership role highlights Dr. Liu’s continued contributions at the intersection of cancer biology, translational medicine, and emerging technologies. It also underscores ExoMira’s commitment to leveraging novel technologies, including AI-enabled preclinical drug research to accelerate and de-risk drug development.

ExoMira remains committed to advancing rigorous, mechanism-driven oncology science with the goal of bringing transformative therapies to patients. We thank all of our collaborators, advisors, industry colleagues, and supporters for their continued interest, feedback, and encouragement as ExoMira moves toward the next chapter of development.
